Share market update: Auto shares in the green; Bajaj Auto up 2%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the green in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Bajaj Auto (up 2.35 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.19 per cent) , Hero MotoCorp (up 1.04 per cent) , Eicher Motors (up 0.98 per cent) , MRF (up 0.58 per cent) , Bosch (up 0.42 per cent) , Exide Industries (up 0.35 per cent) , TVS Motor Company (up 0.32 per cent) , Maruti Suzuki (up 0.28 per cent) and Amara Raja Batteries (up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.24 per cent up at 8201.2 around 09:44 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.45 points at 12051.25 , while the BSE Sensex was up 97.18 points at 41011.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SAIL, Bharti Airtel, United Spirits, SBI, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda and Indian Oil Corp were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
