Share market update: Auto shares gain; Bharat Forge climbs 7%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in the green in Wednesday's session.

Shares of Bharat Forge (up 6.99 per cent), Ashok Leyland (up 6.51 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 5.62 per cent), Exide Industries (up 5.07 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 4.09 per cent), TVS Motor Company (up 3.85 per cent), Apollo Tyres (up 1.73 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.56 per cent), Bajaj Auto (up 1.16 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.04 per cent), TATAMDVR (up 1.02 per cent), Bosch (up 0.53 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki (up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.



The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.63 per cent up at 5536.1 around 02:05PM .

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 127.10 points at 9508.0 , while the BSE Sensex was up 445.16 points at 32559.68 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Motherson Sumi, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, Ashok Leyland, YES Bank, SBI, Tata Motors and RBL Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
