Share market update: Auto shares gain; Bajaj Auto climbs 5%

NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading with gains in Monday's session.

Shares of Bajaj Auto (up 5.06 per cent) , Bosch (up 3.98 per cent) , TVS Motor Company (up 2.72 per cent) , Hero MotoCorp (up 1.83 per cent) , Apollo Tyres (up 1.79 per cent) , MRF (up 1.38 per cent) , TATAMDVR (up 0.7 per cent) , Tata Motors (up 0.63 per cent) , Eicher Motors (up 0.52 per cent) , Motherson Sumi Systems (up 0.21 per cent) and Exide Industries (up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.5 per cent up at 6667.85 around 11:33AM.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 43.20 points at 10287.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 116.25 points at 34847.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Federal Bank, PNB, Tata Motors, RBL Bank, SBI, IDFC First Bank Ltd., BHEL and Glenmark Pharma were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
