Share market update: Aviation stocks grounded; Spicejet descends 2%

NEW DELHI: Aviation stocks were trading on a slippery note in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Spicejet Ltd. (down 2.36 per cent), Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd. (down 1.75 per cent), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (down 0.89 per cent) and TAAL Enterprises Ltd. (down 0.57 per cent) were among the top losers.

While Jet Airways (India) Ltd. (up 4.91 per cent) was the sole gainer.


The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 58.15 points down at 11994.8, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 154.97 points at 40714.5 at around 02:34 pm.
