Share market update: Agriculture stocks down; JK Agri Genetics dips 4%

NEW DELHI: Agriculture stocks were trading with loses in Monday's afternoon session.
Shares of Genera Agri Corp (down 4.73 per cent), Camson Seeds (down 4.62 per cent), JK Agri Genetics (down 4.22 per cent), Karuturi Global (down 2.86 per cent), Godrej Agrovet (down 2.21 per cent), Camson Bio Tech (down 1.94 per cent), Nath BioGenes (India) (down 1.42 per cent), Hester Biosciences (down 1.41 per cent), Kaveri Seed Company (down 0.45 per cent) and AgriTech (India) (down 0.22 per cent) were among the top losers.
While Indo Us Biotech (up 8.73 per cent) , Venky (India) (up 1.76 per cent) , Simran Farms (up 0.89 per cent) , White Organic Agro (up 0.83 per cent) and Ocean Agro (India) (up 0.83 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The NSE Nifty 50 index was trading 46.75 points down at 12225.05, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 173.68 points at 41507.86 at around 02:49 pm.
Vedanta (up 2.01 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 0.98 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 0.94 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.49 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 0.49 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.28 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Yes Bank (down 3.6 per cent), Reliance Industries (down 2.03 per cent), State Bank of India (down 1.85 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 1.38 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.28 per cent), ITC (down 0.99 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.7 per cent), Tata Steel (down 0.56 per cent), Tata Motors (down 0.51 per cent) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (down 0.48 per cent) were trading in the red.
