Share market update: ADAG stocks rally; RInfra surges over 35%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Anil Ambani-led Reliance ADAG Group companies closed with gains in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Reliance Infrastructure (up 34.74 per cent), Reliance Capital (up 27.75 per cent), Reliance Power (up 26.32 per cent), Reliance Naval and Engineering (up 9.87 per cent), Reliance Home Finance (up 5.56 per cent) and Reliance Communications (up 4.72 per cent) surged and closed upto 35 per cent higher.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index closed up 140.30 points at 11,831.65 while the BSE Sensex stood up 488.89 points at 39,601.63.


Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SAIL, PNB, ICICI Bank, SBI, Tata Motors and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
