Stock market update: Ballarpur Industries, Shalimar Paints among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity index BSE Sensex was trading 78.22 points up at 41,464.62 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of MPS Infotecnics (up 100.00 per cent), Metkore Alloys (up 20.00 per cent), Spentex (up 16.67 per cent), Indo Thai Sec (up 12.50 per cent) and Oswal Agro Mill (up 12.50 per cent) were the top performers.

Stampede Cap (up 12.50 per cent), Allcargo Log (up 12.26 per cent), Shalimar Paints (up 11.64 per cent), Ballarpur Industries (up 10.00 per cent) and Diamond Power (up 8.33 per cent) too were up 8-13 per cent.


The Nifty 50 index was trading 29.85 points up at 12,210.20. Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 37 shares were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
