Share market update: 40 stocks hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Around 40 stocks rose to touch their 52-week highs on NSE in Wednesday's session.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs were AGC Networks, Ajanta Pharma, Amber Enterprises, AU Small Finance Bank, Balkrishna Industries, Bayer Cropscience, Bharti Airtel, Avenue Supermarts, Escorts, Godrej Properties, Hinduja Global Solutions, MRF, PVR, Ruchi Soya Industries and Tata Elxsi.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 55.30 points up at 12,034.95 while the BSE Sensex was trading 188.86 points up at 40,978.24.


Overall, 34 shares were trading in the green in Nifty50 index, while 16 were trading in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, UPL , Bharti Infratel, BPCL and Britannia Inds. were among the top gainers.

While Zee Ent., Hero MotoCorp, Adani Ports SEZ, Dr. Reddy's Lab and Infosys were trading in the red.
