Sesa Goa shares surge over 13%; top gainer on Sensex, Nifty
Shares of Sesa Goa today zoomed over 13 per cent on heavy buying by funds, amid buoyant trends in the domestic stock market.

Sesa Goa's scrip ended the day 13.54 per cent higher at Rs 192.50 on the BSE. During the day, the scrip jumped 17.31 per cent to Rs 198.90.
At the NSE, the stock surged 12.83 per cent to end the day at Rs 190.85.
In terms of volume, 58.07 lakh shares were traded on the BSE, while more than 2 crore shares changed hands on the NSE.
The scrip was the top gainer on both the key indices -- BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty.
"Mining major Sesa Goa gained over 13%. Many things are going for the stock - entry into Sensex, Sesa-Sterlite merger and news of hope that mining would resume soon in Goa," said Milan Bavishi, Head Research, Inventure Growth and Securities.
Sesa Goa replaced Sterlite Industries in the Sensex on August 27.
Vedanta Group firms Sesa Goa and Sterlite Industries have been merged to create Sesa Sterlite.
In the broader market, the benchmark Sensex ended the day at 18,401.04, up 404.89 points.
