Sensex tests 21,000 levels; Short term trading ideas in rangebound markets

MUMBAI: The benchmarks took a breather after over 1 per cent rally in last session on hopes of a sweeping win for BJP in state assembly elections. The trade is likely to remain choppy throughout the session as investors prepare themselves for the election results on Sunday.

The S&P BSE Sensex was at 20,959.56, up 1.75 points or 0.01 per cent. It touched a high of 21,049.84 and a low of 20,922.98 in trade today.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.42 per cent and the S&P BSE Smallcap Index gained 0.36 per cent.
