Sensex surges over 300 points, Nifty back above 8,700

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Sensex surged about 300 points in late trade. Nifty is now below above its crucial 8,700-mark.

Jindal Steel cracked over 17% in intraday trade on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
