Sensex slips: Goa Carbon, Sterling Tools hit fresh 52-week high

Shares of ADF Foods, Goa Carbons, Kothari Petro, Muthoot Capital, Prime Focus, Agri-Tech (India), Sterling Tools, N R Agarwal Ind, Weizmann Ltd, Can Fin Homes hit their fresh 52-week high on NSE.

However, stocks such as FCS Software, IOL Chemicals, Urja Global, Religare, Anjani Portland, G M Breweries, Nagarjuna Agri, DFM Foods, Rollatainers Ltd, JMT Auto hit their fresh 52-week low.

The benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 45.15 points down at 9191.85 in the afternoon trade on Wednesday. Overall, 14 shares were trading in green in the index, while 37 were trading in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Eicher Motors, Ambuja Cements, Bharti Infratel, YES Bank, Coal India Ltd, HDFC Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Asian Paints, Infosys, IndusInd Bank stood among top gainers, while Hindalco Inds., Zee Ent., Maruti Suzuki, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Grasim Inds., SBI, Bank of Baroda, RIL remained among major losers in the index.

The BSE Sensex was down 151.20 points at 29637.15.

Traders were seen piling up position in Automobilies, Petrochemicals, Gems and Jewellery, Infrastructure, Food Processing, Paints and Pigments, Petroleum, Personal Care sectors, while selling were visible in Engineering, Textiles and Rubber stocks.
