Sensex ends day at record high, seen on track to hit 30,000 in 60 days
Sensex rose as much as 413 points in trade to hit its fresh lifetime high of 27,759.01, while the 50-share Nifty index also rose over 100 points.

NEW DELHI: Both S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty surged nearly 2 per cent each in trade on Friday, to hit their respective record highs, following positive trend seen in other Asian markets.
The S&P BSE Sensex rose over 500 points in trade on Friday to hit its fresh lifetime high of 27,894.32, while the 50-share Nifty index rose over 150 points to hit a record high of 8330.75.
The 30-share index ended the day at 27,865.83, up 519.50 points or 1.90 per cent.
The Nifty was at 8322.20, up 153 points or 1.87 per cent.
