Shares of Sandur Manganese & Iron Ore were in demand after the 32MW captive thermal power plant of its subsidiary Star Metallics and Power was formally inaugurated.

MUMBAI: Shares of Sandur Manganese & Iron Ore were in demand after the 32MW captive thermal power plant of its subsidiary Star Metallics and Power was formally inaugurated. This plant will ensure continuous power supply for production of ferro alloys, TMT bars, alloy steel and employees' colony.

The scrip was at Rs 770, up Rs 38.15 or 5.21 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 797.95 and low of Rs 744.50 intraday. Around 21000 thousand shares were traded in the counter so far.
