S Kumar's to be excluded from BSE mid-cap, 500 indices

The Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday said textile firm S Kumar's Nationwide will be excluded from the BSE mid-cap and 500 indices from April 24.

MUMBAI: The Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday said textile firm S Kumar's Nationwide will be excluded from the BSE mid-cap and 500 indices from April 24.

Bajaj Holdings and Investment would replace S Kumars Nationwide in the BSE-500 index, a BSE circular said.

The BSE-500 index represents nearly 93 per cent of the total market capitalisation on BSE. This index represents all 20 major industries of the economy.

The changes in the indices would be effective from April 24, it added.
