RInfra bags Rs 7,200 cr order from R-Power; stock down

Reliance Infrastructure said it has bagged a Rs 7,200 crore order from group firm Reliance Power to build a 2,400 MW power plant in Samalkot, Andhra Pradesh.

Reliance Infrastructure today said it has bagged a Rs 7,200 crore order from group firm Reliance Power to build a 2,400 MW power plant in Samalkot, Andhra Pradesh.

The Samalkot power plant, which runs on natural gas, currently has a production capacity of 220 MW. Last year, Reliance Power had announced plans to enhance the capacity to 2,400 MW by investing Rs 10,000 crore, making it largest gas-based power project in the country.

At 12:01 pm, the stock was trading at Rs 645.50, down 1.24 per cent. The stock touched a high of Rs 662.75 and a low of Rs 642.45.
