RIL fixes Oct 28 as record date for bonus issue

Shareholders who have RIL shares in their demat account before October 28, 2024 will be eligible for the bonus issue of shares.

Reliance Industries Ltd. has fixed October 28, 2024 as the record date for the bonus issue of shares it had announced on September 5, 2024, the company said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

RIL will issue bonus shares in the 1:1 ratio. Shareholders will receive one free share for each held.

Shareholders who have RIL shares in their demat account before October 28, 2024 will be eligible for the bonus issue of shares.


The issue of bonus shares was approved by shareholders through an e-voting process on Wednesday, October 16.

RIL last awarded its shareholders a 1:1 bonus in September 2017 and before that in November 2009.

On Wednesday, RIL's scrip ended at Rs 2,708, up 0.75% on the BSE. Benchmark Sensex ended 0.39% lower.
