Reliance Capital Trustee buys 0.83 pc stake in Hathway Cable

MUMBAI: Reliance Capital Trustee Company Ltd has picked up 0.83 per cent stake in Hathway Cable & Datacom taking its total holding to 7.4 per cent in the cable operator.

Reliance Capital Trustee, a subsidiary of Reliance Capital, bought 11.64 lakh shares or 0.81 per cent stake in Hathway Cable & Datacom through open market transaction, the Anil Ambani Reliance group firm said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.

The shares, which were bought on February 15, settled at Rs 236.80 apiece. At this price, deal size is estimated to be worth Rs 27.56 crore.

After the acquisition, Reliance Capital Trustee stake rose to 7.39 per cent from 6.58 per cent.

Shares of Hathway Cable & Datacom closed 0.68 per cent up at Rs 257.80 apiece on the BSE.
