Record date for TCS’ Rs 10 dividend today. Check payout date

The board of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had announced a second interim dividend of Rs 10 per share for its eligible shareholders, fixing October 18 as the record date for the purpose.

This means that the shareholders whose names will appear in the company’s records as of today will be eligible for the said dividend.

The company, earlier in the last week had also announced via an exchange filing that the dividend will be paid to the shareholders on November 5.


“The second interim dividend shall be paid on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to the equity shareholders of the Company, whose names appear on the Register of Members of the Company or in the records of the Depositories as beneficial owners of the shares as on Friday, October 18, 2024, which is the Record Date fixed for the purpose,” the company said in a filing to the exchanges.

In the past 12 months, Tata Consultancy Services has declared an equity dividend amounting to Rs 84 per share, and at the share price of Rs 4,116.85, the company’s dividend yield is 2.04%, according to the data available on Trendlyne.

India's leading software exporter reported a 5% growth in its consolidated net profit on Thursday, reaching Rs 11,909 crore for the second quarter ended September 2024, compared to Rs 11,342 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations, meanwhile, increased 8% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 64,259 crore.

The shares of TCS were trading flat at Rs 4,112 on the BSE around 11 am today.
