RBS acquires shares in 4 companies for over Rs 69 cr

The shares were acquired in these companies from ABN Amro Bank through various bulk deals, shows data from bourses.

MUMBAI: Royal Bank of Scotland ( RBS) on Friday acquired a total of 22.77 lakh shares in Aditya Birla Nuvo, Jindal Steel, Tata Steel and Fresenius Kabi for a cumulative value of Rs 69.62 crore.

The shares were acquired in these companies from ABN Amro Bank through various bulk deals, shows data from bourses.

As per information available with the stock exchanges, the Royal Bank of Scotland Asia Merchant Bank (Singapore) bought a total of 22.77 lakh shares in these companies for around Rs 69.63 crore.

RBS acquired 5.56 lakh shares of Jindal Steel worth Rs 22.15 crore, bought 2.33 lakh scrips of Tata Steel valued at Rs 9.37 crore. It also acquired 2.97 lakh shares of Aditya Birla Nuvo for a deal valued at Rs 27.28 crore.

The bank also purchased 11.89 lakh shares of Fresenius Kabi for Rs 10.82 crore.
