Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's firm picks up stake in Indiabulls Real Estate

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's RARE Enterprises on Thursday purchased 50 lakh shares of Indiabulls Real Estate through a bulk deal on NSE, data available with the exchange showed. Earlier in the day, shares of the company closed 13.77 per cent higher at Rs 6.65.

ASL Industries, GSS Infotech, Indiabulls Housing Finance and Just Dial also witnessed some bulk deals.

On the other hand, the Sensex and Nifty snapped their eight-session rising streak as the new set of stimulus measures announced by the finance minister failed to stem profit-booking in banking, IT and energy stocks.


After dropping 466.12 points during the day, the 30-share BSE Sensex ended 236.48 points or 0.54 per cent lower at 43,357.19.

>> Data showed that RARE Enterprises bought 50 lakh shares of Indiabulls Real Estate at a price of Rs 57.73. On the other hand, Morgan Stanley Asia (Singapore) sold 75.80 lakh shares of the company at a price of Rs 57.16.

>> Shruti Lohia bought 21.78 lakh shares of Indo Rama Synthetics at Rs 24.50, while Amit Goel sold 21.75 lakh shares at a similar price.

>> IDBI Trusteeship Services sold further 4.25 lakh crore shares at Rs 0.50 per share.

>> Anita Singhal bought 2.42 lakh shares of Somany Ceramics at Rs 229.28 per share.
