Quick Heal zooms 19% as firm to consider buyback of shares

Shares of Quick Heal zoomed over 19 per cent in Monday’s early trade after the company said that its board will consider buyback of equity shares at its meeting scheduled to be held on July 21.

The board meeting of the company is scheduled to be on July 21, 2022, to consider and approve, the un-audited financial results of the company for the quarter ended June 30, 2022, said the company in a filing to BSE. The company added, that they will also consider the proposal for buyback of the fully paid-up equity shares of the company.

Following this update, the stock hit a day's high of Rs 199.80. At 10.35 am, it was trading at Rs 194.60, up 16 per cent over the previous close of Rs 166.90 on BSE.


The stock has given a 3-year return of 15.56 per cent as compared to a 44 per cent rise seen in Nifty Smallcap 100 and 69 per cent in Nifty IT over the same period.

Promoters held a 72.84 per cent stake in the firm while FIIs held 1.74 per cent as of June 30, 2022.
