Shares of Punj Lloyd climbed over 10 per cent in early trade on Tuesday after the company infomred bourses that it has received orders from GAIL (India) and NHAI.

The company has received orders for laying and construction of steel pipeline along with associated facilities for Dharma-Angul section of Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra Pipleline Project (JHBDPL) PH-II worth Rs 276.11 crore from GAIL.

It has also received an order for upgradation of Yargi-Kalewa Road section in Myanmar of two lane with Earth shoulders on EPC mode worth Rs 1,177 crore, in joint venture with Varaha Infra from NHAI.

The scrip was trading 11.19 per cent up at Rs 22.85 at around 9.30 am (IST). Shares of the company opened at Rs 22.80 and touched a high and low of Rs 23.40 and Rs 21.75, respectively.

The scrip closed Wednesday's session 6.57 per cent up at Rs 21.90 on BSE.

On the BSE, 8.39 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.95 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
