GIFT Nifty (Earlier SGX Nifty) signals a negative startGIFT Nifty on the NSE IX traded lower by 33 points, or 0.14 per cent, at 24,018, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Wednesday.
Tech View: On the lower end, however, it found initial support near a modified rising channel. A sustained fall below 23,950 might trigger the next leg of correction. However, if the index manages to hold above this level, a meaningful recovery could emerge in the near term
India VIX: India VIX, which is a measure of the fear in the markets, was flat at 11.19 levels.
Asian stocks and bonds fall
Stocks and bonds fell as rising oil prices fueled inflation concerns and the prospect of tighter monetary policy, driving a risk-off tone across markets.MSCI’s Asia Pacific equities gauge dropped 1.2%, with stocks in Japan and South Korea sliding 2.5%. That came after the S&P 500 Index retreated for a third consecutive session and the Nasdaq 100 Index fell 1.3%.
