Prasol Chemicals shares list at 10% discount to IPO price on BSE, NSE

Prasol Chemicals shares made a tepid debut on Wednesday, listing at a discount of around 10% on the bourses. The stock opened at Rs 611 apiece on the BSE, down 9.62% from the issue price of Rs 676. On the NSE, it debuted at Rs 610 apiece, marking a 9.76% discount to the IPO price.

The listing was broadly in line with unlisted-market expectations, which had indicated a debut below the issue price.

The issue drew an overall subscription of 3.47 times. The retail portion was subscribed 1.79 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) segment saw 1.89 times subscription. The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) portion was subscribed 7.59 times.

With the listing now in focus, investors will be watching the opening price closely as market sentiment remains guarded.

DAM Capital Advisors Ltd. served as the book-running lead manager for the issue, while KFin Technologies Ltd. acted as the registrar.

Prasol Chemicals IPO: Objects of the Issue

The company proposes to utilise the Net Proceeds of the Issue primarily towards the repayment and/or pre-payment, in full or in part, of certain borrowings availed by the Company, amounting to Rs 60 crore.

The remaining proceeds will be utilised towards General Corporate Purposes (Rs 16.39 crore) and Issue Expenses (Rs 21.95 crore). The total estimated utilisation of the Issue proceeds is Rs 98.34 crore.

Financial Performance

Prasol Chemicals Ltd. reported a 22% increase in total income, rising from Rs 1,015.54 crore in FY25 to Rs 1,237.85 crore in FY26. Profit after tax (PAT) grew strongly by 91%, from Rs 43.57 crore in FY25 to Rs 83.12 crore in FY26, reflecting a significant improvement in profitability.
