Positive results, strong order book energises Suzlon
Shares of Suzlon Energy were trading higher on Tuesday on the back of strong third quarter results by the company.
At 11:40 am, the stock was at Rs 327.95, up 4.14 per cent or Rs 13.05 on volume of 8,62,853 shares against two-week average of 8,29,722 shares.
The company’s net profit for quarter ended December rose 91.90 per cent to Rs 338.18 crore against Rs 176.23 crore in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales increased 49.68 per cent to Rs 1,654.96 crore from Rs 1,105.67 crore a year ago.
As on January 25, its order book position stood at Rs 17,107.41 crore comprising Rs 2,404.67 crore of domestic orders and Rs 14,702.74 crores export orders.
Suzlon Energy has re-appointed Tulsi R Tanti as managing director and Girish R Tanti as wholetime director of the company for a period of three years with effect from April 01.
