MUMBAI: In a major show of conviction in the ‘unlock’ theme, renowned smallcap investor Porinju Veliyath today bought 15,000 shares of Apollo Sindoori Hotels at Rs 764.26 apiece through a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange.

Veliyath’s purchase accounted for a third of the volume of the stock traded in today’s session. Shares of the smallcap company ended 9.2 per cent higher at Rs 800.10 on the NSE.

In another transaction, Saurabh Mukherjea-led Marcellus Investment Managers sold 3.1 million shares of Music Broadcast at Rs 23.1 apiece through a bulk deal on the NSE.


Meanwhile, WF Asian Reconnaissance Fund sold 8.25 million shares of Max Healthcare at Rs 227.1 per share through a bulk deal on the BSE.

Both the NSE and BSE had not updated the block deals data on their respective websites at the time of publishing this story.
