Separately, Polycab India informed the exchanges that NCLAT had stayed and kept in abeyance the October 7 order passed by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Ahmedabad Bench, admitting the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) against the company in a case filed by Asier Metals Private Limited.

The proceedings relate to an alleged operational debt of Rs 2.79 crore under Section 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

According to the NCLAT order, counsel for Polycab submitted that a pre-existing dispute existed between the parties concerning payments made and credit notes to be issued by the operational creditor. The company's counsel also submitted that Polycab was willing to deposit the entire amount stated in Part IV of the insolvency application, without prejudice to its rights and contentions.

The tribunal directed that the amount be deposited through a fixed deposit receipt (FDR) in the name of the Registrar, NCLAT, New Delhi, within a week. It stayed the NCLT's October 7 order and kept it in abeyance until further orders.

Polycab India shares settled 1.82% higher at Rs 8,405 apiece on the NSE on Monday, compared with the previous close of Rs 8,255. During the session, the stock traded between Rs 8,291 and Rs 8,469.

The stock has gained nearly 10% so far in 2026, while the Nifty 50 has declined nearly 14% over the same period, according to the data provided.
