PNB to close some dormant A/Cs

Punjab National Bank will close dormant accounts inactive for over three years to prevent misuse, unless KYC documents are submitted; exemptions include accounts linked to DEMAT, lockers, student accounts, and those frozen by statutory bodies.

Bank accounts with Punjab National Bank that have been dormant for more than three years without balance will be closed to avoid misuse and cut risk. The accounts with PNB will be closed without any further notice, unless the account is activated by submitting KYC documents to the branch. Accounts linked to DEMAT accounts, lockers, student accounts and accounts frozen by a statutory body will not be closed.
