NEW DELHI: Shares of Petron Engineering Construction surged 19 per cent in Thursday’s trade after the company told stock exchanges that it has bagged an order from Guruashish Construction, HDIL Towers, Bandra (East), for building structure works at Goregaon (West), Mumbai for a total value of Rs 110 crore

The company made the announcement after market hours of Wednesday. Following the announcement, the scrip rose 18.97 per cent to hit a high of Rs 174.90 on BSE. At the prevailing price, the stock was trading at 21.77 times its trailing 12-month earnings per share (EPS).

The company had reported a 132 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 397.47 crore for the December quarter, on 23.95 per cent jump in sales to 5976.58 crore.

The stock has seen a 5.52 per cent rise in last one month and has delivered a whopping 206 per cent return over the past three years.
