Orchid Pharma hits upper circuit on favourable USFDA report
NEW DELHI: Shares of Orchid Pharma hit 20 per cent upper circuit limit in Thursday's trade after the drug firm received favourable USFDA inspection report for its Tamil Nadu facility.

The stock rose 19.83 per cent to hit a high of Rs 21.45, its highest level since August 23. A total of 3.96 lakh shares changed hands on the counter, compared with a two-week daily average of 1 lakh shares.

The scrip closed Thursday's session 19.83 per cent up at Rs 21.45.

Benchmark Nifty50 index closed 19 points lower at 10,122, while the 30-share Sensex was 30 points down at 32,370 at the end of today's session.

The company said it has received establishment inspection report ( EIR) from USFDA on the successful inspection of its active pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing facility located at SIDCO Industrial Estate in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
