MUMBAI: Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has received approval from the USFDA for the Cefpodoxime Proxetil tablets, in dosage strengths of 100 mg and 200 mg.
Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a third generation cephalosporin antibiotic which has a broad spectrum activity against organisms causing infectious diseases. The company hopes to garner a sizeable market share and revenues in the US market.
At 1:09 pm, Orchid Chemicals shares were up 3.21 per cent at Rs 234.50 on BSE.
