IT firm Omnitech Infosolutions is looking to acquire companies in the IT services in Europe or Asia and has set aside Rs 60-80 crore for the acquisitions.
It is interested in targets with capability in new technologies such as cloud and those that have intellectual property. While it is not neglecting the US, its priority now is Europe.
In 2008, Omnitech had zeroed in on an acquisition target but could not go ahead because of the economic slowdown. Shares closed up 1.13% at Rs 147.80.
