Shares of Ola Electric rose 2.6% to their day’s high of Rs 36.43 on the BSE on Monday, December 8, after the company announced the commencement of mass deliveries of its vehicles powered by the indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack.

The flagship product leading this rollout is the S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh), the first two-wheeler from Ola to be powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell. According to the company, this battery pack is designed to deliver better range, enhanced performance, and improved safety.

With this move, Ola Electric has become the first company in India to fully own both the battery pack and cell manufacturing process under one roof.

“The excitement for S1 Pro+ has been phenomenal. Deliveries are now in full swing, and customers are proudly riding India’s first scooters powered by our own 4680 Bharat Cell. This is a big moment, not just for Ola, but for India’s journey towards becoming a global EV hub. With the national rollout starting soon, we are now ready to take this breakthrough product and technology to every corner of the country,” the company said in an exchange filing.
