NSE's MD and CEO urged entrepreneurs to tap into India's capital market, 'Time has come'

Mumbai, Jan 30, 2026: (ANI): Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India, said, "...1000 years ago, we accounted for 50% of the world's GDP. When the British came to India, we were at 33% of the world's GDP. When the British left in 1947, we were at 2% of the world's GDP. Some of this was taken from us, but mostly it was because they developed new technologies. We forgot to create new technologies. We forgot to adopt new technologies.”
