NEW DELHI: Nomura Singapore on Tuesday sold 7,78,600 shares of newly-listed company Veranda Learning shares at Rs 162.51 apiece on BSE, while Societe Generale was seen buying 7,68,398 company shares at Rs 162.50 per share on the same exchange, bulk deal data suggests.

The stock eventually settled 1.71 per cent higher at Rs 163.15 on BSE. On NSE, the scrip closed at Rs 137.80, up 5 per cent.

The scrip had also seen a couple of bulk deals in the previous session.

The education technology company made an unusual debut on the bourses on Monday, with the stock listing at a premium of over 15 per cent on BSE but a discount of 8.7 per cent on NSE. In the case of IPOs with a size of Rs 250 crore or less, all trades are on a trade-for-trade (T-to-T) basis for the first 10 days after listing.

When a stock, part of the T-to-T segment, is purchased, the buyer must take compulsory delivery.
