Mumbai: Among key bulk deals on Thursday, Franklin Templeton offloaded shares of eClerx Services, while the company bought back its own shares. Companies such as Equitas Holdings and GIC Housing Finance also witnessed bulk deals during the day.

Of the frontline indices, Sensex rose 1.16 per cent or 419.87 points at 36,471.68, while peer Nifty climbed 1.15 per cent or 121.75 points to 10,739.95.

>> eClerx Services bought back 14,00,000 shares of the company under its buyback scheme at Rs 524.68 per share, while Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund sold 11,26,444 shares of the company at Rs 525.01 per share.

>> Pathpioneer Advisors bought 65,348 shares of Neuland Laboratories at Rs 698.73 per share.

>> Agnus Holdings purchased 54,93,250 shares of Sequent Scientific from JS Ramaprasad JS Ramaprasad at Rs 105.30 per share.
