NMDC to give first interim dividend of 430% FY18

The board of NMDC has decided to give first interim dividend of 430% for the year 2017-18. This was decided at a meeting of the NMDC's board of directors held in New Delhi on Monday.

The first interim dividend would entail a total outgo of Rs 1,360 crore, of which Rs 985 crore would be the government’s share, a company statement said.

Mining major, NMDC which is a top performing public sector enterprise, has been giving rich dividends to government and its shareholders since 1991.


During the last five years NMDC has paid about Rs15,525 crore as dividend to its shareholders out of which government of India's share was about Rs12,418 crore.

In addition to dividend, NMDC has also gone for buyback of shares in 2016-17 amounting to Rs 7,528 crore and an Offer For Sale (OFS) during this fiscal which fetched a sum of Rs 980 crore to the government.
