Nifty IT top sectoral gainer; TCS leads the pack of gainers

NEW DELHI: Nifty IT index remained the top gainer among the sectoral indices on Wednesday.

The Nifty IT index settled 0.55 per cent up at 13,453.

Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (up 1.40 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 1.13 per cent), OFSS (up 1.05 per cent), HCL Technologies (up 0.80 per cent), Infosys (up 0.44 per cent), KPIT Technologies (up 0.13 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.11 per cent) stood as the gainers in the index.


However, Mindtree (down 1.28 per cent), Wipro (down 0.92 per cent) and Infibeam Incorporation (down 0.35 per cent) remained in the red.

The Nifty50 added 24 points, or 0.22 per cent, to settle at 10,742, with 25 stocks rising and 25 falling.

Shares of Tata Motors, Titan, YES Bank and Tata Steel remained the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.

On the contrary, UltraTech Cement, BPCL, Lupin and Bajaj Finance finished the day as the top losers in the Nifty index.
