Battered IT stocks rebounded this week with the Nifty IT index gaining 4.3%, the best weekly gain since October 2025, as a sell-off in AI-related and semiconductor stocks in Asia fuelled a relief rally in the sector.
The benchmark Nifty gained 0.5% this week. Investor concerns also eased after first-quarter earnings from major IT companies showed little evidence of AI-related disruption, prompting some short-covering.
