Nifty hits fresh 52-week high; these stocks surge up to 13% intraday

NEW DELHI: The Nifty50 surged to a fresh 52-week high of 8,970.05 in afternoon trade on Thursday on account of buying in Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel, TCS, Infosys, and HCL Technologies.
On the NSE, shares of Jyothy Labs (up 6.02 per cent), Jamna Auto (up 6.08 per cent), Idea Cellular (up 6.93 per cent), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. (up 8.23 per cent), GTL Infra (up 12.94 per cent) rallied up to 13 per cent till 12.50 pm (IST).

The NSE Nifty 50 index was trading 45 points higher at 8971.90 in the afternoon trade.
