Nestle, Titan, UltraTech up after Sensex rejig

The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 179 points, or 0.44 per cent, at 40,538.

UltraTech was up 1 per cent at Rs 4,124 at around 9.30 am (IST).
Shares of Nestle, Titan and UltraTech Cement were trading higher in Monday's session after Asia Index, which is a 50-50 partnership between S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC and BSE, announced that these companies will enter Sensex pack from December 23 as part of the reconstitution exercise.

On the other hand, Tata Motors, Tata Motors with differential voting right (DVR), YES Bank and Vedanta will be dropped from the benchmark index.

Among other changes, Indiabulls Housing Finance, YES Bank, InterGlobe Aviation, SBI Life Insurance Company and Info Edge (India) will make entry in the S&P BSE Sensex Next 50, while Cadila Healthcare, Dabur India, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, UPL and Edelweiss Financial Services will excluded from the index.


Asia Index also made some changes other indices including S&P BSE 500, S&P BSE 200 and S&P BSE 100.
