GMDC, GIC Housing among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 336.17 points up at 37,390.27 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Kanani Industries (up 16.67 per cent), Caprihans India (up 16.38 per cent), Prajay Engineering (up 15.86 per cent), Manpasand Beverages (up 14.73 per cent), Global Vectra (up 14.20 per cent), Nitesh Estates (up 13.85 per cent), Jay Bharat Maruti (up 13.64 per cent), Indian Card Clothing (up 12.76 per cent) , Star Paper Mills (up 12.41 per cent) and Adroit Infotech (up 12.21 per cent) were among the top performers.

GIC Housing Finance (7.97 per cent) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (up 7.76 per cent) too were trading 7-8 per cent higher at around the same time.


The Nifty 50 index was trading 96.25 points up at 11,264.30.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 44 shares were trading in the green, while 6 were in the red.
