Natixis to pick-up 25% stake in IDFC AMC

Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM) will pick-up a 25 per cent stake in IDFC Asset Management Company (IDFC AMC) for an undisclosed sum.

MUMBAI: Natixis Global Asset Management ( NGAM) will pick-up a 25 per cent stake in IDFC Asset Management Company ( IDFC AMC) for an undisclosed sum.

This partnership will enable IDFC AMC to significantly enhance its international distribution and gain access to global investors keen to invest in Indian equity markets, a press release issued here today stated.

NGAM, on the other hand, will be able to expand its global footprint.

NGAM already has a significant presence in Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and China. This is the latest development in NGAM's stated goal to diversify its business globally, the release said.

IDFC's Managing Director and CEO, Rajiv Lall, said, "Natixis Global Asset Management has an established asset management business with a strong global footprint and distribution capabilities. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership."

This partnership will also give IDFC AMC the ability to offer domestic investors access to international investment opportunities through investment products managed by NGAM, the release said.
