MTNL gets shareholders' nod to delist scrip from DSE, CSE, MSE

Shareholders of state-run MTNL have approved a proposal to delist the company's shares from Delhi, Calcutta and Madras stock exchanges.

NEW DELHI: Shareholders of state-run MTNL have approved a proposal to delist the company's shares from Delhi, Calcutta and Madras stock exchanges.

"...The board of directors of the company is hereby authorised to seek voluntarily delisting of its securities from Delhi, Calcutta and Madras Stock exchanges," the company informed BSE about the resolution taken in its 26th Annual General Meeting held on September 28.

The telecom company, however, will continue to be listed on BSE and NSE.

The delisting will be subject to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, it added.

"The securities of the company shall continue to be listed on the stock exchanges having nationwide trading terminals viz BSE and NSE and therefore, as per the said guidelines issued by Securities and Exchange Board of India, no exit opportunity need to be given to shareholders of the company," it said.
