MSCI India churn: ICICI Securities, IIFL new entries, 49 others out

NEW DELHI: Select financial services companies, including ICICI Securities, IIFL Holdings and PNB Housing Finance, will feature in MSCI India Domestic Small Cap index effective November 30.

Cyient, Lemon Tree Hotels, Mahindra Logistics, and Westlife Development are among others that made their way to the index.

Shares of ICICI Securities rallied over 4 per cent on Wednesday while IIFL Holdings, Lemon Tree Hotels, Mahindra Logistics, PNB Housing Finance and Westlife Development advanced up to 6 per cent.


As many as 49 stocks have been removed from the index. The list included stocks such as VA Tech Wabag, Unichem Labs, Uflex, Tata Coffee, Rane Holdings, Navkar, Larsen and Toubro Infotech, LT Foods, Advanced Enzymes, and Balmer Lawrie.

MSCI, the world’s biggest index compiler, will also add Divi’s Laboratories in its Global Standard Index with effect from November 30. However, it removed Bharat Heavy Electricals and Siemens from the index. Divi’s Lab closed 1.66 per cent down at Rs 1,504.30 on Wednesday.
