Most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday

As many as 101 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs.
NEW DELHI: With nearly 3 crore shares changing hands, NHPC stood as the most traded stock on NSE on Thursday, followed by Hindalco Industries (number of shares traded: 2.29 crore), ICICI Bank (2.27 crore), DLF (2.13 crore) and State Bank of India (2.04 crore).

Shares of Balkrishna Paper Mills, Fineotex Chemical, Wendt (India), PBA Infrastructure, Flexituff International, Jaypee Infratech, STL Global, Syncom Healthcare and Gammon Infrastructure Projects zoomed up to 20 per cent on NSE on Thursday, defying the cautious market sentiment.

Domestic equity market benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex closed Thursday's session in the lower territory, in light of futures and options (F&O) expiry for December.


The Nifty50 index closed 13 points down at 10,477, while the BSE Sensex ended Thursday's session 64 points down at 33,848.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 18 remained in the green, while 32 settled in the red.

As many as 101 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs, compared with 5 stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE on Thursday.
