MMTC, Hindustan Copper among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 215.97 points up at 36,178.90 on Monday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Prakash Constrowell (up 19.39 per cent), Rapicut Carbides (up 18.36 per cent), King Infra Ventures (up 16.14 per cent), Aanchal Ispat (up 16 per cent), Hercules Hoists (up 15.70 per cent), STC India (up 14.66 per cent), Dhoot Industrial Finance (up 12.04 per cent), Frontline Securities (up 11.43 per cent), Bhandari Hosiery (up 11.11 per cent) and VTM (up 10.54 per cent) were among the top performers.

MMTC (up 8.48 per cent), HSIL (up 6.88 per cent), Hindustan Copper (up 6.65 per cent) too were trading around 6-8 per cent higher at around the same time.


The Nifty 50 index was trading 51.50 points up at 10,856.95.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 34 shares were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
