MUMBAI: Midfield Industries today listed at Rs 159.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, reflecting a gain of 19.8 per cent over the issue price.
Within minutes of trade, the scrip touched a high of Rs 170.65 on BSE, higher by 28.3 per cent over the issue price of Rs 133 a share.
On volume front, 34.89 lakh shares were traded on BSE. The company, last month, raised around Rs 60 crore through an initial public offer of 45 lakh shares of Rs 10 each. The company will use the part of the net proceeds of the issue to fund the expansion of its existing plants as well as to set up new manufacturing facilities.
The company's turnover for the year ended March 31 stood at Rs 90.4 crore with a profit after tax of Rs 8 crore.
