Metal, Power, Capital Goods among top sectoral gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: All the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in green in the afternoon trade with the BSE Metal index gaining the most 2.49 per cent, followed by Power (1.32 per cent) and Capital Goods (up 1.28 per cent).

The BSE Consumer Durables, Realty, IT and TECk index were trading higher by 1.09 per cent, 0.94 per cent, 0.90 per cent and 0.72 per cent, respectively, around 1 pm (IST).

The BSE Sensex was trading 136.14 points up at 29534.25 around the same time following firm global cues.

In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Adani Ports SEZ (up 3.98 per cent) , Tata Steel (up 3.36 per cent) , Hindalco Inds. (up 3.07 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 2.12 per cent) , Aurobindo Pharm (up 2.06 per cent) , Asian Paints (up 1.75 per cent) , Tata Motors (up 1.62 per cent) , NTPC (up 1.51 per cent) , Eicher Motors (up 1.25 per cent) and Infosys (up 1.14 per cent) were trading in green.

The Nifty 50 index was up 52.45 points at 9137.25 around the same time.
